Applications for emergency food and shelter programs are now being accepted

APPLICATIONS FOR EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER PROGRAMS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR PHASE 33
Fresno, CA – September 9, 2015 — United Way Fresno and Madera Counties is accepting applications from Fresno County community based 501(c)3 organizations for the 2015 Emergency Food and Shelter Program Phase 33 on behalf of the Local Emergency Food and Shelter Board.
Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local organizations chosen to receive funds must meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Criteria:
1) Be private, voluntary non-profits, or units of government,
2) Have an accounting system,
3) Practice nondiscrimination,
4) Have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs,
5) If it is a private voluntary organization, they must have a voluntary board of directors.
There will be a technical assistance workshop to answer any questions potential applicants may have regarding the Emergency Food and Shelter Program.
Deadline to Submit EFSP Phase 33 Application
Applications will be accepted until close of business, 5:00 p.m. on Friday September 30, 2015 and can be downloaded online at here or picked up from the United Way office at 4949 E. Kings Canyon Road, Fresno, CA 93727 (on Kings Canyon Road between Winery and Willow). No application will be accepted after the date.
