We are excited to announce the upcoming 2024 Central Valley Equity Conference, hosted by United Way Fresno and Madera Counties in partnership with the Central Valley Community Foundation. This pivotal event, scheduled for November 15th, will bring together over 500 attendees to explore the question, “What does equity mean for the Central Valley?”

The conference will feature dynamic presentations, insightful discussions, and real-world examples from experts across various fields, including health, workforce development, education, and housing. Our goal is to create a shared understanding of equity, emphasizing its importance and the tangible benefits of equity-based practices in our communities.

We are currently seeking proposals from local organizations, businesses & agencies engaged in transformative equity work. Topics of interest include:

• Education
• Environmental Justice
• Housing
• Reproductive Care
• Health
• LGBTQ+ Community
• Participatory Budgeting
• Disability Access
• Agriculture
• Community Investments
• Youth and Economic Justice

Breakout sessions will accommodate approximately 100 participants each, providing an intimate setting for deep dives into these critical topics.

We invite you to submit a proposal to share your expertise and contribute to this important conversation. Please review the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) for detailed information on submission requirements and deadlines. All proposals must be received no later than September 30th, 2024. Selected presenters will be notified by October 8th, 2024.
